Tonight we are thrilled to welcome a very special guest Lucy Nicandri, Lucy Nicandri, a well-known nonprofit leader and event organizer based in Florida: Lucy Nicandri is a nonprofit executive and community leader best known for her role as Executive Director of Suncoast Charities for Children, a Sarasota-area organization that raises funds for programs and services supporting children, teens, and adults with special needs. She began her career in volunteer service as a teenager and later worked in marketing and events in the banking and nonprofit sectors. Her fundraising experience includes organizing hundreds of events and founding the Thunder By The Bay music and motorcycle festival, which has raised millions of dollars for charity over its history. Under her leadership, Suncoast Charities for Children has provided essential funding for developmental therapies, early childhood education, athletic programs, and family support services through major annual events and community partnerships. Nicandri has also been recognized by the Association of Fundraising Professionals for her significant impact on local philanthropy. In addition to her nonprofit work, she has served in leadership roles in community organizations and promoted inclusive fundraising initiatives throughout Southwest Florida.
